With security being a topic on the minds of most people, many wonder what is the best way is to monitor home and belongings. Several security systems exist and using a combined home security surveillance cameras can add additional protection against intruders.
IP Network Camera Placement
Choose the location to install its IP surveillance cameras should be investigated and tested. The place must have a wide viewing angle of the area which seeks to control. Remote Viewing
Using IP cameras for home security offers the ability to view the cameras remotely from anywhere using a standard web browser. By configuring on your home network to allow remote access to IP cameras, you can access securely to each camera to view live video and access PTZ (pan / tilt / zoom) if it is compatible with the camera controls. This gives you peace of mind knowing everything is safe to return home.
Most IP cameras also support the motion detection alerts via email, SMS text messaging or other means. Having this set to the camera, will give the added advantage to receive an alert when motion is detected. You can then log on to the remote cameras to see what is happening.
Remote Recording
With traditional CCTV (closed circuit television cameras), video recordings would be subject to local VCR or DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Only a few outdoor IP surveillance cameras support infrared (IR) as most infrared IP cameras will be reflected in the glass box and give a white image. If required infrared, buying outdoor IR IP camera that comes with the camera attached as this will give the best picture taking account of the enclosure is built to infrared. Another option is to use external IR illuminators are attached outside the enclosure.
